Taxicab Commission Records

The Board of Taxicab Commissioners advises the General Manager of the Los Angeles Department of Transportation on issues pertaining to all privately owned taxicab franchises in the City. Commissioners of the Board are appointed by the Mayor’s Office and confirmed by City Council.

Taxicab Commission meetings are scheduled at 9 a.m. on the first and third Thursday of every month.

The meetings are held in City Hall, Conference Room 1070, located at 200 N. Spring Street, Los Angeles, California 90012.

	The Commission periodically appoints various Ad Hoc Committees to address specific issues. Ad Hoc Committees meet infrequently. The Commission maintains two permanent Ad Hoc Committees:
