Managing mobility in Los Angeles is no easy feat.
Approximately, 2,200 employees work daily in the Los Angeles
Department of Transportation to provide the best transportation
options for the 3.7 million residents* and their 2.5 million
vehicles†, as well as the 25 million tourists‡
who visit Los Angeles every year.
LADOT’s General Manager leads the Department to achieve
long-term transportation outcomes. Four Offices and an Executive
Staff support the General Manager.

Under the Offices,
14 different Bureau Heads split the Department’s core
functions into more manageable sections. The Bureaus work
together to position the Los Angeles Department of Transportation
as the leader in mobility in Los Angeles.
