Transportation Bureaus

Transportation Bureaus provide engineering, enforcement, adjudication and transit solutions to successfully manage transportation needs in the City of Los Angeles.

Transportation Bureaus in the Los Angeles Department of Transportation accomplish the following:

  • Parking enforcement
  • Traffic control
  • Crossing guard programs
  • Parking citation processing and fine collection
  • Adjudication processing of contested citations
  • Funding, design and construction of transportation improvements
  • Transit programs and services development
  • Securing project funding
 

Each of the following Bureaus reports directly to the General Manager

Bureau of Capital Programming

The Bureau of Capital Programming designs and builds multi-modal transportation improvements for the City and secures funding for these projects.

Bureau of Parking Enforcement and Traffic Control

The bureau's traffic enforcement officers provide traffic control for special events and emergencies as well as enforce parking regulations.


Bureau of Parking Operations Support and Adjudication

LADOT employees in this bureau support parking operations such as meter collections and facilitate the Department's parking resolution processes.

Bureau of Transit Services

The Bureau of Transit Services develops and manages the City of Los Angeles’ transit programs to meet transportation needs. The Bureau also secures funding for transit services.
