Women's History Month LADOT Spotlight: Tess Chen

Women's History Month LADOT Spotlight: Tess Chen

Women’s History Month is all about celebrating, acknowledging, and appreciating the work that women contribute to this world. In honor of this month, we want to spotlight Tess Chen and the work she does to help keep Moving LA Forward. Tess joined LADOT initially as a volunteer in 2019 and has since proven her ability to not only learn quickly but to train her coworkers as well. Tess has produced project delivery tools for the Complete Streets Implementation Division that have been adopted department-wide as a succession tool to ensure projects will continue to be delivered despite ongoing SIP retirements. Tess has also developed tools to streamline project budgeting exercises to ensure budgets and appropriations are closely monitored. Because of her extraordinary efforts and accomplishments, Tess was recognized as an Outstanding Performer for LADOT in 2021. You can read about all the LADOT Outstanding performers for 2021 in our Annual Report.
